Muslim groups in the UAE Assist Flood Victims in India

Kerala Muslim Cultural CENTER ( KMCC ) , socio - cultural groups in the UAE (United Arab Emirates ) , will help the people hit by floods in Tamil Nadu State of India , reported Emirates247 , Sunday ( 12/06/2015 ) .
KMCC president Anwar Naha announced that the people in the country will begin to help with consultation to the Committee of Muslim League of Tamil Nadu .
Association members and sympathizers would donate their one day salary for the rehabilitation and charitable activities in Tamil Nadu .

While Naha and Mulchandy Ibrahim , Secretary General of KMCC , urged members of the public the country to take part in raising funds to help the flood victims of Tamil Nadu .

More recently , KMCC has donated funds to help the UAE Red Crescent in Yemen .

Thousands of residents in Chennai and suburban areas facing shortages of food , medicine , drinking water and other essential items due to flooding .

Hundreds of people died and thousands of people homeless in the worst floods in 100 years due to heavy rain . More than 260 people died in the flood . [ ry / islampos ]
